Case Conference/Journal Club

The Research Conference is held on Thursdays 11:30 - 12:30 PM in BRI (Biomedical Research Institute) Room F7-42. Each meeting consists of one of two formats:

Case conference consists of a case presentation, followed by discussion and review of pertinent literature that relates to the case.
Journal club consists of a scholarly review of a topic using two or three pertinent articles.

Morbidity & Mortality Conference

M&M conference is held monthly, and includes a review of deaths, complications, or other cases identified by the faculty. If pathological specimens are part of the case, a pathologist reviews the findings with the group. Other invitees are included as needed, such as surgical specialties, radiology, etc.

Clinicopathological Correlation Conference

CPC is conducted in the Department of Pathology at 7:00 AM on Tuesdays, when biopsies or necropsies are performed on patients in the MICU or other unit under the care of the Critical Care Medicine Service.
